Feeling very sorry for myself this morning, aches and pains all over..........and all because of few simple exercises at the gym.
I realise that I have to get back in shape (actually it's beeen that long that I have no idea what my shape was), and lose a few pounds, okay stones, so I'm only letting myself down if I don't put in the effort. So yesterday Martin (my personal trainer) put me through my paces and started me on a gruelling routine.
Now get you minds out of the gutter, it's nothing like that, I just need someone to push me into doing the right exercises and make me STICK to them.........and boy did he do just that. Talk about cruelty, he never let me stop, not even for a second, but I suppose at the end of the day that's exactly what I need.
I think I gave him a hard time yesterday, LOL I told him not to stand too close to the weights or I might just lose control of my swing. I wasn't my usually smiley self so I'll have to make sure that I train at least 3 times this week before my next asssessment to get back in his good books.
So being as the old muscles are a little sore, I'm gonna spend some me time catching up on a little scrapping and of course writing my blog. Better get down to it then.

What a weekend
Where has this fabulous weather come from?? It's been gorgeous today, makes such a nice change to have time off work and see the sun!
After an exhausting week I finally have my car back, don't think I could have managed much longer without contacting a divorce lawyer LOL. So I was back on the road and heading for my fix of Moxley Madness with the girls. As usual not a lot of scrapbook stuff got done but we certainly laughed a lot. It's such a tonic getting together with such a fabulous bunch of girls even if they are all nutters LOL and i did actually manage to alter a picture frame with help from Dawn xxx
Cooking for the masses is no problem for me and the Moxley are easy to please. Warm up a spud, spoon on the baked beans and they're happy..........well it was actually more like a mini feast. No wonder I didn't get any work done, and I'm doing it all again next week at the Barncrofters crop LOL.
As if i didn't have enough to eat yesterday we've had a big BBQ this afternoon, kids and in-laws all enjoying the sun. Yummy spread and even yummier desert....we had mini gateaux and Daim bar cake.........delish.
OMG, looks like I've spent the whole weekend eating.......better find me a lastic band like Fern LOL

I'm knackered
This week has been exhausting so far and it's only Wednesday !!! Hubby had problems with his car, turns out the starter motor and fly wheel? had gone and the old banger needed major surgery (the car that is not the old man). Only trouble is it's left him without transport so he's had to use my car.
Saturday was the worst day so far when he woke me at 6 in the morning to drop him off at the fishing lake.............good job I'm a lady and don't swear. That is the 1st and only time his tackle goes anywhere near my shiny Volvo. So after being woken up early on my day off, and not being in a good mood wih him he then found out that his car wouldn't be ready on Monday after all and he needed to use my car to get to work. Not a huge problem except for the fact that it means dropping me off at work before 7 every morning, and then having to wait for him to pick me up etc.
Now do you see why I'm knackered.

I got the BH Blues
Okay, so the weather is no surprise..........it is a Bank Holiday after all, but it should be more fun than this. Little old me is home alone with nothing except H*usew*rk!! Could be worse suppose, hubby is out working in this, out in the open LOL, oopps sorry I shouldn't laugh but at least that makes me feel a little better about the H*usew*rk!!
Yesterday was much more fun, pushing Mum around Telford Shopping Centre in a wheelchair. She's had an op on her foot which means that she's pretty much housebound.....and bored to tears so the promise of a day out got her all excited. Only trouble was she kept persuading me to spend money!! Heaven only knows how she did it, sitting there like Andy from Little Britain
I need to get some scrapping done but my Quickutz Revolution has died on me and I've shipped it off to the States for service, but that leaves me without my trusty little die cutter. Suppose I'll have to resort to cutting out by hand LOL. Seriously it seems like such a long, long time between crops this month, having Moxley and the Retreat so close together, I'm getting withdrawal symptoms. Only 1 more weekend to go whoo hoo.
The highlight of the day though is a very rare invitation to lunch from my darling son. Told him to choose the time and place seeing as he was paying. Panic stricken he said "Nah I'm not" breaking out in a sweat. Oh well, can't have it always can I, the invitation was a major breakthrough LOL.
Better get my glad rags on then. TTFN

Here goes
Okay, so I've done the hard part and set this thing up, but this means that I now have to use it, and no better time than the bank holiday.
It's only been 3 weeks since my weekend in Stratford and I'm already signed up for the next one......can't wait!! Almost 50 craft obsessed women booked into the Swans Nest Hotel, for the first ever Scrapajack Retreat, spending 3 fun filled days being creative, learning new techniques in the classes, taking part in challenges, games and of course making friends!!
You honestly couldn't wish to meet an nicer bunch of girls, Debbie and Jakkii (from Scrapajack), my homies the Moxley Massive, and the Barncrofters. Then add girls from Swindon, Scotland even internationals like Stephanie from the USA and Rachel our very own Kiwi. Put em all together and what have you got................
so much laughter that your sides ached for a week.
Even now, 3 weeks later I'm still on a high.........wonder if Bromsgrove know what they are letting themselves in for.

Just a quickie to introduce my "Auntie Mary", hope you love her as much as I do
